Abstract

The parable of the Seine described in the Gospel of Matthew 13:47-52 is one of Jesus' teachings to His followers. The teaching about the gospel of the kingdom of God was conveyed by Jesus in the form of parables so that the public, including His followers, could understand the essence of the story. In this study using the Bible hermeneutic method to analyze the text of Matthew 13:47-52. In this study the authors also make use of various sources of literature such as Bible commentary books and scientific journals that are considered relevant. The results of this study are that the parable of the trawl is a model of Jesus' teaching that was conveyed to listeners and readers. The model of this sermon was delivered according to the audience at that time so that they could understand the meaning of the teaching. The meaning of the parable about the net based on Matthew 13:47-52 briefly contains the process of developing the gospel message up to the second coming of the Lord.
